Marakwet West MP Timothy Kipchumba Honoured as Best Performing Legislator in Rift Valley Region

Marakwet West Member of Parliament Timothy Kipchumba has been crowned the Best Performing Member of Parliament in Legislation – Rift Valley Region 2025, an accolade that recognizes outstanding parliamentary contribution, leadership, and commitment to legislative excellence.

The award was presented during a colourful ceremony held on Thursday evening at the Argyle Hotel in Nairobi, where leaders, policymakers, and members of the public gathered to celebrate exemplary performance in public service.

Speaking after receiving the award, MP Kipchumba expressed profound gratitude to the people of Marakwet West, attributing the achievement to their unwavering support and encouragement.

“I am absolutely honoured and thrilled to receive this award. I dedicate the recognition to the People of Marakwet West who have always supported and stood by me, sometimes under very difficult circumstances,” he said.

Kipchumba emphasized that the award reflects not only individual effort but also the collective strength of the community and his team.

“This award is a testament to the power of hard work, resilience, dedication, and teamwork. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has supported and encouraged me every step of the way,” he added.

He concluded his remarks by giving thanks to God, noting that the recognition further motivates him to continue championing legislation that uplifts communities and strengthens governance.
