Premier League giants Chelsea FC have made their first official move for Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, submitting an initial bid in excess of €35 million, according to multiple sources.
While no agreement has yet been reached with Dortmund, negotiations are actively progressing, with add-ons expected to be a crucial component of the final deal structure.
French outlet RMC Sport reports that personal terms between Bynoe-Gittens and Chelsea have already been finalized. The 20-year-old England youth international has agreed to a seven-year contract with the London club, with all details including salary and bonuses fully settled.
The former Manchester City academy product, who joined Dortmund in 2020, has impressed with his pace, flair, and creativity — attributes that have long made him a target for top Premier League sides.
As part of the original deal that took Bynoe-Gittens to Germany, Manchester City will receive 10% of any future transfer fee, adding another layer to the financial dynamics of the ongoing talks.
Chelsea’s pursuit of young talent continues, with Bynoe-Gittens seen as a long-term investment under the club's youth-focused recruitment strategy. He would join a growing list of promising prospects at Stamford Bridge, should a deal be finalized in the coming days.
More updates to follow as talks continue between Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund.
