UDA Wanabiashara Caucus Declares Deputy President Seat Non-Negotiable

The National Chairman of the UDA Wanabiashara Caucus, Francis Mbogo, has declared that the position of Deputy President is not open to political negotiations amid what he termed as “premature political maneuvering.”

Speaking to the press alongside members of Warembo na Fire, Mbogo dismissed ongoing political efforts by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and its affiliate parties, saying their push would not change the current political landscape.

“The Deputy President’s position remains firmly held and is not available for negotiation,” Mbogo stated.

He reaffirmed that the incumbent Deputy President, Kithure Kindiki, is the legitimate holder of the office and continues to enjoy broad support from key political stakeholders and grassroots networks aligned to the ruling coalition.

Mbogo emphasized that the UDA Wanabiashara Caucus, together with Warembo na Fire and other allied groups, remains united in its commitment to safeguarding political stability and advancing economic priorities. He urged leaders to shift their focus from early political realignments to service delivery and economic empowerment.

“The focus must remain on service delivery, empowering businesses and strengthening the economy — not premature political distractions,” he said.

The caucus maintained that it will continue mobilizing its members across the country to protect its political interests while championing unity, enterprise growth and national development. Leaders present reiterated their support for the current administration’s economic agenda and called for cohesion within the broader political movement.
