KEPROBA Pays Courtesy Call to Eldoret Media Hub, Strengthens Media Partnerships to Boost Kenya’s Brand

The Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) paid a high-level courtesy visit to the Eldoret Media Hub this week, underscoring its commitment to strengthening partnerships with media organizations in promoting Kenya’s brand and supporting local businesses to access global markets.

The KEPROBA delegation was led by Miriam Maina, Manager of Corporate Communications, accompanied by Molly Wambui, Corporate Communications officer, Jonah Karanja, Media Relations and Brand Communications Officer . They were warmly received by the Eldoret Media Hub leadership, including Vice Chairman Edmond Kipngeno and Treasurer Elvis Wasike, who expressed appreciation for the agency’s visit and willingness to collaborate.

During the meeting, Maina highlighted the critical role media plays in shaping both domestic and international perceptions of Kenya. “Media houses are our partners in ensuring that the right information about Kenya’s exports and brand reaches the public. By working together, we can showcase local products, promote business growth, and strengthen the country’s image globally,” she said. She further commended Eldoret Media Hub for its exemplary contribution to journalism and media development in the region, describing it as “one of our most impactful partners in the media space.”

The KEPROBA team shared insights on upcoming initiatives, including a journalist training session scheduled for Tuesday. The training aims to equip media practitioners from the region with knowledge and skills to effectively report on trade, exports, and branding, ensuring accurate information reaches audiences. On Wednesday, KEPROBA will host a roundtable discussion with industry stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for enhancing Kenya’s visibility in global markets and supporting local businesses in navigating international trade.

Vice Chairman Kipngeno welcomed the partnership, noting that collaboration between media and agencies like KEPROBAis vital. “We are delighted to host KEPROBA and look forward to working closely to ensure that the public receives credible and timely information about Kenya’s trade and export initiatives. Treasurer Elvis Wasike added that the Hub will prioritize initiatives that foster innovation and strengthen reporting standards, particularly in areas of trade, business, and export promotion. “Our collaboration with KEPROBA will not only inform the public but also empower local businesses to access new markets and compete globally,” he noted.

The visit signifies a deepening partnership between KEPROBAand media organizations in western Kenya, highlighting the agency’s commitment to strategic communication and stakeholder engagement. This engagement comes at a time when Kenya is actively seeking to increase its export footprint, diversify products, and leverage media platforms to build a strong national brand that attracts investors, tourists, and trading partners alike. The Eldoret Media Hub, with its growing network of media professionals, will play a key role in translating these strategies into impactful narratives that resonate with both local and international audiences.
