Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii has lauded the transformative power of education while celebrating the academic success of one of the young people he has personally mentored, Vincent Kiprotich Ruto. Vincent graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management from the University of Eldoret, marking a major milestone in his academic journey.

Speaking during a celebratory event held in Ong’ata, Megun Ward, Governor Bii joined Vincent’s family, friends, and members of the local community to honor the achievement, describing it as a symbol of determination, resilience, and the limitless possibilities that access to education can create.

“Education connects, equalizes, and fulfills dreams,” Governor Bii said. “Vincent’s accomplishment is a shining testament to the power of opportunity and the impact that support and mentorship can have on a young person’s future.”

He commended Vincent for his hard work and perseverance, noting that his success story will serve as an inspiration to many other young people across Uasin Gishu County. The governor also reiterated his administration’s commitment to investing in youth empowerment programs, mentorship initiatives, and education support to help more learners realize their full potential.

Community members in attendance expressed gratitude to Governor Bii for his continued dedication to nurturing young talent and for being present to celebrate the student’s milestone.

Vincent’s graduation not only marks the culmination of years of effort but also highlights the broader importance of providing opportunities for the youth—a message Governor Bii emphasized as central to building a stronger, empowered, and more educated county.
