Rarieda Member of Parliament, Dr. Otiende Amollo, continues to set the pace in empowering local schools and institutions. The legislator was delighted to unveil a brand-new school bus worth Sh10.5 million for Lieta School, a milestone achievement co-funded through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Dr. Amollo emphasized the importance of improving access to education and ensuring that students can travel safely and conveniently to and from school. "This bus is not just a vehicle. It is a bridge to opportunity, to exposure, and to the broader world outside their classrooms. It will make learning journeys safer and more accessible for the students of Lieta School," he said.
The joyous event was attended by school administrators, parents, students, and local community leaders who hailed the MP for his tireless commitment to uplifting education standards in Rarieda.
In addition to unveiling the bus, Dr. Amollo also issued CDF cheques worth Sh35 million to various schools and institutions across the constituency. These funds will support infrastructure development, learning materials, and other essential needs aimed at enhancing the quality of education.
"We must invest where it matters most — in the future of our children. Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders. By supporting them now, we are shaping a stronger, more empowered Rarieda," Dr. Amollo noted.
