In a strong show of commitment to education and youth empowerment, Lugari Member of Parliament Hon. Nabii Nabwera has issued bursary cheques to support students across the constituency through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF).
Speaking during the official disbursement exercise, Hon. Nabwera confirmed that all secondary school principals from within Lugari Constituency received cheques on behalf of their students who had applied for bursary assistance. The move is aimed at ensuring that no learner is left behind due to lack of school fees.
"This bursary disbursement is part of our ongoing effort to make education accessible and affordable to every child in Lugari," said the MP. "As the NG-CDF Patron, I remain deeply committed to removing financial barriers that prevent our children from realizing their full potential."
Hon. Nabwera emphasized that education remains a central pillar of his development agenda, describing it as the most powerful tool for transforming families, uplifting communities, and securing a brighter future for generations to come.
“Our goal is to guarantee that every student, regardless of their background, has a fair shot at success. This is not just an investment in individuals — it’s an investment in the future of Lugari," he added.
The MP also thanked school administrators, parents, and community leaders for their continued partnership in identifying needy students and ensuring that bursary support reaches those who need it most.
The bursary programme continues to be one of the most impactful interventions by the Lugari NG-CDF, directly supporting hundreds of students annually.
