The Kapseret constituency is set to host a major community event tomorrow, as Member of Parliament Oscar Kipchumba Sudi officially launches the Kapseret Empowerment Program, aimed at improving livelihoods through the distribution and allocation of critical resources.
The event, which will take place at Kapseret Centre, Inder Junction, is scheduled to begin at 8:00 AM, and will bring together residents, local leaders, and various stakeholders for a day of empowerment and opportunity.
Speaking ahead of the event, MP Sudi said the program is part of a wider initiative to empower youth, women, farmers, and other vulnerable groups within the constituency.
“We are committed to supporting our people through tangible programs. Tomorrow marks a new chapter for Kapseret as we distribute tools, funds, and resources that will help our residents build better lives,” said Sudi.
The distribution will include items such as farming equipment, boda boda motorcycles, sewing machines, startup capital for small businesses, and bursaries for needy students. The event will also feature registration opportunities for upcoming vocational training programs and cooperative development initiatives.
Residents are optimistic about the impact of the initiative, which comes at a time when many are facing economic hardships. Local leaders have praised the program, calling it timely and transformative.
Security and logistical arrangements have been finalized, with thousands of residents expected to attend the event.
“This empowerment program shows the government’s commitment to grassroots development. We urge the public to attend and take advantage of the opportunities being presented,” a local chief said.
