The grand opening ceremony attracted local traders, business leaders, and residents, all eager to witness the launch of what is expected to be one of the largest fashion and clothing wholesale stores in the North Rift region.

Speaking during the event, Governor Bii hailed the establishment as a bold step towards positioning Eldoret as a regional business hub, praising the investors behind Wajose Smart Wear for choosing Uasin Gishu County as their base.

“The launch of Wajose Smart Wear is a testament to the confidence investors have in Uasin Gishu. Our city is rapidly transforming into a vibrant hub for business and opportunity,” said Governor Bii.

The governor noted that the county government has continued to implement investor-friendly policies, including infrastructure development, streamlined business registration processes, and support for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.

He further called on youth and young entrepreneurs to take advantage of the expanding business environment by venturing into innovation and enterprise.

“I urge our youth to step forward with ideas and energy. You are the drivers of this county’s future. With innovation and hard work, the opportunities are limitless,” he said.

Governor Bii reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting youth employment and entrepreneurship through targeted training, financing, and mentorship initiatives.

The launch of Wajose Smart Wear Mega Wholesalers is expected to create dozens of direct and indirect jobs while enhancing access to affordable, quality clothing for traders and consumers across the region.

With the county keen on transforming Eldoret into a regional economic powerhouse, Governor Bii expressed optimism that more investors would follow the example set by Wajose Smart Wear.

“Uasin Gishu is open for business, and we are ready to walk hand-in-hand with all those who wish to grow with us,” he concluded.

The ceremony concluded with a tour of the new facility, as local traders expressed excitement about the convenience and opportunity the mega wholesaler brings to the county.
