Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi joined mourners at St. Michael’s Terige Catholic Church in Nandi County to honour the late Father Allois Cheruiyot Bett, a beloved clergyman whose life and ministry left a deep and lasting impact on the community.
In an emotional tribute, MP Sudi described Father Bett as an extraordinary servant of God whose journey from altar boy to priesthood was marked by unwavering faith, selflessness, and a tireless commitment to spreading the gospel.
“Today, I stood shoulder to shoulder with leaders, faithful, and mourners as we honoured a man who dedicated his life to God and his people,” said Sudi. “Father Bett was not only a spiritual leader but a moral compass for many. He exemplified humility, compassion, and true service.”
The late priest, widely respected across the North Rift region, was credited with mentoring youth, strengthening family values, and fostering unity among communities. His passing has left a significant void in both the church and public life.
“His journey of faith was one of resolute determination,” added Sudi. “From humble beginnings, Father Bett rose through the church ranks with integrity and purpose, touching countless lives through his ministry. His legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.”
MP Sudi also extended his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and the broader church community, praying for comfort and healing during this difficult time.

Father Bett's funeral, attended by clergy, elected leaders, and hundreds of mourners, was marked by moving eulogies, hymns, and a celebration of a life lived in service to God and humanity.
