Orero Boys High School, a top-performing extra county institution in the Nyanza region, has come out strongly to refute explosive claims suggesting the school was implicated in a damning audit report over the construction of a substandard dormitory.
Speaking to this writer on phone, Chief Principal Mr. Dicken Bula labeled the allegations as “baseless, malicious, and completely false,” stating that no such construction project exists at the school.
“There is no dormitory project underway or recently completed that could be questioned. These claims are entirely fabricated — they are a smear campaign aimed at dragging the school’s good name through the mud,” Mr. Bula said.
The principal emphasized that Orero Boys High School maintains a strict policy of transparency and financial accountability, with all development projects subjected to due diligence and oversight.
“We are not just a school — we are a model of integrity. Anyone making these claims must come forward with evidence. Otherwise, this is pure propaganda,” he added.
The rebuttal comes amid growing online speculation and social media chatter alleging that Orero Boys appeared in a government audit report flagging questionable construction in public schools.
To date, no official report has named the school, and the Ministry of Education has not issued any statement confirming the allegations.
Education stakeholders and members of the Orero Boys alumni community have rallied behind the institution, demanding an investigation into the source of the damaging claims.
With a reputation for academic excellence and national co-curricular achievements, Orero Boys remains one of the most respected schools in the region.
“We are focused on our students, our results, and our mission,” Mr. Bula said. “We will not be distracted by lies.”
