Drama as Eldoret Friends, Business Operators Stop Hearse Carrying Photographer Hillary Kiptoo’s Body
There was an emotional moment in Eldoret as friends, colleagues and business operators briefly blocked the hearse carrying the body of the late photographer Hillary Kiptoo to pay their final respects.
The incident happened near Kiptoo’s former photography studio, where he had built a name and established connections with fellow photographers, clients and other business operators in the town.
Those gathered stopped the hearse as it passed the area, creating an emotional send-off for the celebrated photographer before the funeral procession continued to his home in Soy.
Friends and colleagues remembered Kiptoo for his contribution to photography and the relationships he built with people through his work.
The emotional farewell came as mourners accompanied his body from Eldoret to Soy, where he is set to be laid to rest today.
The brief stop at his former studio offered friends and business associates an opportunity to honour his memory at a place closely associated with his photography career.
