Mandago Dominates Uasin Gishu Senatorial Race in New Survey, Opens Wide Gap Over Rivals

A new survey on the Uasin Gishu senatorial race has placed incumbent Senator Jackson Mandago firmly ahead of his rivals, signaling strong support for his potential re-election bid.

According to the survey findings, Mandago emerged as the most preferred candidate for the Senate seat with 58 percent support among respondents sampled across the county.

Lawyer Isaac Terer came in second with 23 percent support, while Victor Chepkelat secured 11 percent, placing him third in the race.

The survey was conducted using a random sample of 3,959 respondents drawn from all six constituencies in Uasin Gishu County. The findings provide a snapshot of voter preferences at the time the study was carried out.

Political analysts say the results indicate that Mandago continues to enjoy significant influence in the county's political landscape, having previously served as Uasin Gishu Governor before being elected Senator.

However, with the next General Election still some time away, observers note that voter preferences could shift as campaigns intensify and more candidates join the race.
