GOVERNOR DR BII COMMISSIONS PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES HUB

Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii Chelilim has officially commissioned the Public Health Services Hub in Uasin Gishu County, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to strengthening preventive and promotive healthcare services.

Speaking during the commissioning, Governor Bii commended health workers for their dedication and noted that Uasin Gishu continues to make significant progress in public health service delivery.

He also highlighted the Ksh 800,000 that has been generated through inoculation services and called for teamwork in advancing healthcare.

“Prevention is better than cure.” Governor Bii said, “I am proud of our health staff and the work they continue to do. We must continue investing in preventive healthcare to keep our people healthy and improve the quality of services.”

On her part, CECM for Health Services Janet Kurgat said the new hub will enhance coordination and delivery of public health services across the county.

“The commissioning of this hub is an important step in improving preventive and promotive healthcare. We appreciate the Governor’s support and will continue working with our health teams to ensure quality and accessible public health services for our residents,” said CECM Kurgat.

Present during the commissioning were Chief Officer for Clinical Services Ambrose Tarus, Director of Clinical Services Dr. Evans Kiprotich, Director of Preventive and Promotive Services Laban Kiprop, Director of Nursing Services Betty Chirchir, Deputy Director of Medical Services Crispus Massam, public health officers and other health officials.
