Uasin Gishu Governor Nominates New CPSB Chairperson, Members
The County Government of Uasin Gishu County has announced the nomination of a new chairperson and members of the County Public Service Board (CPSB), in a move aimed at strengthening public service delivery and institutional leadership within the county.
In a media release dated Wednesday, 13 May 2026, Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim said the nominations were made pursuant to Section 58 of the County Governments Act and are subject to approval by the County Assembly.
The governor nominated Paul Kibet to serve as the chairperson of the board.
The five nominees for membership to the CPSB are:
Daniel Kiptoo Melly
Dr. Emily Jeruto Ng'eno
Augustine Rop Cheruiyot
John Kiprotich Tanui
Angeline Atieno Oyomo
Governor Bii said the nominations reflect the county administration’s commitment to enhancing professionalism, inclusivity, efficiency, and accountability in the management of public service affairs.
“The nominations underscore the County Government’s commitment to strengthening institutional leadership and enhancing efficiency, professionalism, inclusivity, and accountability in the management of public service affairs,” the statement read.
The nominees are expected to undergo vetting by the County Assembly before their appointment is formally confirmed.
The County Public Service Board plays a critical role in overseeing human resource management in county governments, including appointments, promotions, and disciplinary control of county public officers.
