KNCCI, German Industry Delegation Forge Stronger Economic Partnership
The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) has intensified efforts to strengthen economic cooperation between Kenya and Germany following a high-level meeting with officials from the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa (AHK).
The discussions, held today and led by KNCCI President Dr. Erick Rutto, brought together key stakeholders to explore strategic opportunities aimed at enhancing bilateral trade, investment, and industrial collaboration between the two nations.
The AHK delegation was represented by Delegate Dagmar von Bohnstein and Senior Project Manager George Warutere.
During the meeting, both parties focused on strengthening trade and investment frameworks, improving manufacturing value chains, and promoting skills development through knowledge and technology exchange. The engagement underscored the growing importance of international partnerships in supporting Kenya’s industrialization agenda and expanding market opportunities for businesses.
Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Rutto emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between Kenyan and German enterprises, particularly in areas that support value addition, innovation, and sustainable industrial growth.
The leaders also highlighted the importance of creating robust business linkages that can unlock investment opportunities, enhance competitiveness, and facilitate long-term partnerships between companies from both countries.
