Goodwill Messages Pour In for Nyeri Woman Representative Rahab Mukami

Goodwill messages and congratulations continue to flow for Rahab Mukami following her election as President of the Women’s Caucus at the Pan-African Parliament, a milestone widely celebrated as a major victory for women leadership across Kenya and the African continent.

The celebrations came during a women empowerment programme hosted by the Nyeri Woman Representative at Gatitu in Nyeri County, where leaders and residents gathered to champion the role of women in leadership, grassroots economic empowerment and community transformation.

Leaders present at the event praised Hon. Mukami for her rising influence in regional leadership and her unwavering commitment to advancing the empowerment of women and girls both locally and internationally.

Among those in attendance were Governor Anne Waiguru, Senator Veronica Maina, Senator Wahome Wamatinga, MP Eric Wamumbi, Irene Njoki, Lydia Haika, Members of County Assembly and other leaders.

Speaking during the event, leaders described Hon. Mukami’s election to the continental leadership position as inspirational and a clear demonstration of the growing recognition of Kenyan women leaders on the African stage.

The empowerment programme also highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen women-led enterprises, enhance financial inclusion and expand opportunities for grassroots women as part of broader socio-economic empowerment initiatives within the county.

Hon. Mukami’s elevation to the Pan-African Parliament Women’s Caucus leadership is expected to further amplify Kenya’s voice in championing gender equality, inclusive leadership and the empowerment of women across Africa.
