Kiambu Woman Representative Ann Wamuratha Attends 2026 National Assembly Legislative Retreat
Kiambu Woman Representative Ann Wamuratha is attending the 2026 Legislative Retreat for Members of the National Assembly at Lake Naivasha Resort in Nakuru County, chaired by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Moses Wetang’ula.
The retreat is being held under the theme, *“Securing Parliamentary Legacy: Delivering the Fifth Session’s Agenda and Preparing for Transition,”* and has brought together House leadership, committee chairpersons, and all Members of the National Assembly.
The forum provides an opportunity for legislators to reflect on progress made during the Fourth Session, deliberate on emerging national and legislative challenges, and align priorities ahead of the Fifth Session of the Thirteenth Parliament.
Speaking on the importance of the retreat, leaders noted that the engagement is critical in strengthening institutional coordination, sharpening legislative focus, and enhancing accountability in service delivery to Kenyans.
The discussions also underscore Parliament’s commitment to consolidating legislative gains, ensuring a smooth transition towards the next electoral cycle, and leaving behind a legacy of strong governance and transformative legislation.
Wamuratha reiterated her commitment to effective representation and people-centred legislation, noting that such strategic engagements are key to ensuring Parliament remains responsive to the needs and aspirations of citizens.
