Late Bishop Joseph Likavo to Be Laid to Rest in Eldoret as Memorial Service Gets Underway
Preparations are underway for the burial of the late Bishop Joseph Likavo, the senior pastor of International Vision Church, who will be laid to rest on Wednesday at the Prayer Mountain in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
The burial is scheduled for Wednesday, January 28, 2026, with family members, clergy, church faithful, and leaders from across the country expected to attend the final send-off of the respected religious leader.
Meanwhile, a memorial service in honour of Bishop Likavo is currently underway, bringing together congregants, friends, and fellow ministers to celebrate his life, faith, and years of service to the church and the wider community.
Bishop Likavo was widely known for his passionate preaching, commitment to spiritual mentorship, and dedication to prayer and evangelism. As the senior pastor of International Vision Church, he played a key role in nurturing faith communities and guiding believers, particularly in Uasin Gishu County and the larger North Rift region.
Church leaders speaking during the memorial service described him as a humble servant of God whose ministry touched many lives through prayer, counselling, and outreach programmes. They noted that the Prayer Mountain in Eldoret, where he will be buried, held deep spiritual significance in his ministry and personal faith journey.
