Eldoret National Polytechnic Shines at KATTI Season II Ball Games
The Chief Principal of Eldoret National Polytechnic, Dr. Charles Koech, OGW, joined the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Hon. Julius Migos Ogamba, during the closing ceremony of the Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI) Season II Ball Games, held at the Kenya Coast National Polytechnic.
Eldoret National Polytechnic delivered an impressive performance across multiple categories, reaffirming its position as a powerhouse in technical college sports. The institution emerged runners-up in men’s soccer and secured the second runners-up position in women’s soccer, demonstrating both skill and teamwork on the field.
In the Paralympic categories, the institution dominated in sitting volleyball, clinching the championship in men’s sitting volleyball and finishing as runners-up in the women’s sitting volleyball (PWDs) contest.
Speaking after the event, Dr. Koech congratulated the teams for their dedication, discipline, and sportsmanship, noting that the results reflected the institution’s holistic approach to education.
“We are immensely proud of our students’ achievements. Sports play a key role in nurturing leadership, teamwork, and resilience — values we uphold at Eldoret National Polytechnic,” said Dr. Koech.
The Cabinet Secretary, Hon. Ogamba, commended all participating institutions for their spirited competition and encouraged polytechnics to continue promoting inclusivity and talent development through sports.
The KATTI Season II Ball Games brought together technical and vocational institutions from across the country, fostering unity, physical fitness, and talent discovery among Kenya’s youth.
With these outstanding results, Eldoret National Polytechnic continues to make its mark not only in academics and innovation but also in national sports excellence.
