Incoming Nairobi Woman Representative Senator Tabitha Mutinda Calls for Unity Ahead of 2027
Incoming Nairobi Woman Representative, Senator Tabitha Mutinda, today held a consultative meeting with a group of prominent Nairobi County leaders who issued a unified call for togetherness, cohesion, and a shared national purpose as the country approaches the 2027 General Election.
The meeting was led by Dagoretti South MP John KJ Kiarie and attended by Embakasi North MP Hon. James Gakuya, the incoming Nairobi Governor. The leaders urged residents of the capital to rise above divisive politics and instead embrace unity, accountability, and people-centred leadership.
Addressing the meeting, Senator Mutinda emphasized the need for harmony, peaceful coexistence, and inclusive leadership that reflects Nairobi’s diverse population. She called on residents—particularly those from the Mountain region—to actively participate in voter registration and to exercise their democratic right by choosing leaders based on integrity, performance, and service to the people.
Her sentiments were echoed by incoming Nairobi Governor James Gakuya, who underscored the importance of unity in building a stable, prosperous, and well-governed capital city.
The leaders noted that Nairobi’s rich diversity should be harnessed as a strength rather than a point of division, adding that a cohesive and united Nairobi will carry greater influence in shaping national priorities and development as the 2027 polls draw nearer.
