The Eldoret National Polytechnic Crowned Best TVET Institution at Kenya Music Festivals

The Eldoret National Polytechnic (TENP) continues to make headlines for all the right reasons. Today, the institution received a prestigious national accolade from H.E. President Dr. William Samoei Ruto at the Sagana State Lodge, in recognition of its stellar performance at the recently concluded Kenya Music Festivals held in Meru.

The award, presented to TENP for emerging as the best Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution, marks a significant milestone in the polytechnic’s growing legacy of excellence. The institution outperformed its peers by showcasing talent and dedication in more than 40 musical and cultural performance items, securing top positions across various categories.

Receiving the coveted trophy on behalf of the institution was a high-level delegation led by Chief Principal Dr. Charles Koech, OGW, alongside Mr. Paul Seurey (Deputy Principal - Administration), Mr. Reuben Chemitei (Dean of Students), as well as the Sports and Recreation Officer, Music Patrons, representatives from TENPSU Leadership, and student music leaders.

Speaking during the handover, Dr. Koech expressed immense pride in the students' achievements, emphasizing TENP's commitment to holistic education.

"This victory is not just about music; it's about the power of nurturing talent, promoting teamwork, and embracing the co-curricular as an integral part of our learning culture. We are proud of our students and the staff who guided them to this national triumph," he said.

The recognition underscores TENP’s unwavering dedication to producing well-rounded graduates who excel both in the classroom and beyond. The polytechnic has consistently supported a vibrant co-curricular program, recognizing its role in developing creativity, confidence, and leadership skills among students.

As the trophy makes its way to Eldoret, celebrations are already underway across the institution, with students and staff lauding the win as a collective victory.

Long live TENP!
The institution continues to soar, setting the standard for excellence in Kenya’s TVET sector.
