Chaos In Church as Woman Interrupts Wedding Claiming Groom is Her Husband, Preacher Refuses to Stop Ceremony

 

Congregants at a popular church along the busy Nairobi were left in shock on Saturday , after a dramatic scene unfolded mid-service during what was meant to be a joyous wedding ceremony.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident happened just as the groom and bride were about to exchange vows. The church doors swung open and a visibly agitated woman, dressed in a kitenge and headscarf, stormed in, shouting that the groom was her legally wedded husband.

“She came in like a storm,” recalled one church elder. “She was pointing directly at the groom, calling him a liar and a cheat, and demanding the wedding stop immediately.”

The groom froze, his hand still holding the bride’s. Murmurs filled the air as the woman pushed past the ushers, waving what she claimed were their marriage documents. “This man is mine. We have been married for eight years, and I have his children at home! How can you stand here and bless him to marry another woman?” she cried.

But what shocked many was the reaction of the preacher officiating the wedding. Rather than halting the ceremony to address the accusations, he simply raised his voice over the commotion and urged the groom and bride to proceed with their vows. “Let no one put asunder what God has joined today,” he declared.

The crowd erupted. Some guests stood to leave, while others took out their phones to record the escalating drama. Relatives from both sides argued loudly at the back of the church, while the bride, visibly shaken, gripped her bouquet so tightly that the flowers began to break.

According to sources close to the furious woman, she had been suspicious for weeks after overhearing rumours of her husband’s secret relationship.
