The stage is set for the 2025 Uasin Gishu County Secondary School Sports Association games following the official confirmation of venues and pools by the organizing committee. Schools from across the county are gearing up for what promises to be a competitive and thrilling multi-sport showdown.
In a major venue change, the boys' soccer matches will now be played at Chebisaas High School, shifting from the traditional Hill School grounds. The defending champions, Arnesens, find themselves in a tough Group A alongside archrivals Racecourse and Kandie Secondary.
Pool B will see hosts Chebisaas High locking horns with Moi’s Bridge and Simat Boys, while Pool C pits RCEA Kuinet against Wareng High and UoE Secondary. Group D comprises Concord High, Moi Chuiyat, and Paul Boit, all eyeing a shot at county glory.
Girls’ Soccer Action Moves to UoE Secondary Grounds
All girls' soccer matches will be staged at UoE Secondary, with four competitive pools mapped out. Defending champions Moi Girls headline Pool A and will face Ngeria High and Kapsiliot. In Pool B, Kerotet Girls will take on Racecourse Secondary and Kosachei, while Pool C features Turbo Girls, Kapkoiga, and Soi Secondary. Pool D is rounded off with Wareng High, Eldoret GK, and Plateau Secondary.
Volleyball: Big Names, Bigger Battles
Volleyball matches will be held at Moi Girls. In the boys’ category, heavyweights like Arnesens, Chebisaas, and Moi Chuiyat are expected to dominate their respective pools. The girls’ side will feature top teams such as Moi Girls, Kapsiliot, and Liberty Secondary in what is expected to be a hotly contested tournament.
Rugby 7s: Wareng Secondary Hosts Fast-Paced Action
Rugby 7s will be played at Wareng Secondary School. Eldoret GK leads two pools—one in Pool A and again in Pool D—reflecting a possibly split squad strategy. Other standout teams include Paul Boit, Simat, and Racecourse in the boys’ bracket. In the girls’ competition, teams like KoIwoarusen, Plateau, and Kimumu will be aiming for upsets as they clash in a tightly packed schedule.
Basketball 3x3: Fast Breaks and Fierce Rivalries
Moi Girls will also host the basketball 3x3 competitions. In the boys’ category, familiar foes such as Arnesens, Wareng, and Concord are expected to battle it out. The girls’ draw has Loreto High and Moi Girls as early favorites in their respective pools.
