Governor hands over a Grader for Kabiemit Ward

The new grader handed over at HZ trading centre will reduce the cost of construction and repair of roads in the Ward.
Money saved will be used in other development projects and programs.
In his tour of Kabiemit, Governor H.E. Wisley Rotich inspected and commissioned some projects, which included:
● Inspection of Chepketeret water project, which will serve Chepketeret Primary and Secondary schools and area residents.
●Commissioning of Cheboen ECD centre, where young pupils were taking digital learning, a programme that equips them with essential skills for the future. I was encouraged on how the little pupils were taking their digital lessons.
● Opened the new Outpatient Department at Kapkitony Dispensary, which will see the previous facility converted into a maternity wing.
●Inspected Kapkitony farmers cooperative society cooler and the solarisation of Kapkitony borehole.
●Mambai ECD, where pupils now have new classrooms, free from dust and colds that had exposed them to consistent flu and other diseases.
●Commissioning of Kabiemit Vocational Training Centre, Tambul, the first vocational institute in the Ward.
The centre has a record 145 students in its first intake, which is an encouraging move. Those interested in hairdressing, masonry, plumbing, garment making, electrical, and mechanical courses are encouraged to apply.
Present were area MCA Alfred Barsulai, CECs Michael Kibiwott, Edwin Kibor, Thomas Maiyo, and Emmy Kosgei.
Others were COs Jeremiah Chirchir, Paul Ruto, Emmanuel Birir, Fromency Kosgei, Robert Lagat, and Isaac Koech, Ward administrators Beatrice Magel, Theophilus Ayabei and Gertrude Serem among other county staff.
