Police in Narok have arrested a notorious burglary suspect and recovered a cache of stolen property in a targeted operation carried out yesterday, June 17, 2025.
The operation, led by the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) of Narok Police Station, was launched after officers received credible intelligence that the suspect had been spotted in the Majengo area. Acting swiftly, the team raided the suspect's residence where they discovered and seized several stolen items.
Among the recovered goods were three 6kg gas cylinders, two generators, and a number of electronic appliances believed to have been stolen from various households in Narok Town. The suspect, whose identity has not yet been released publicly, was captured in CCTV footage linked to a series of recent housebreaking and burglary cases across the area.
Police confirmed that the suspect had only recently been released from prison after serving time for similar offenses. He is currently in custody and will be arraigned in court in the coming days.
The stolen items have been secured as evidence as investigations continue, with authorities urging any residents who may have fallen victim to recent thefts to come forward and assist with identification.
Narok police have lauded the successful operation and reaffirmed their commitment to tackling crime in the region, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation in enhancing public safety.
