A 37-year-old father of three, Justus Mwenda, has become the talk of Meru and beyond after an unexpected revelation in court explained the source of his dramatic rise in wealth.
Mwenda, who was apprehended recently over allegations of running an illegal business, caught the attention of authorities after a routine financial surveillance flagged multiple suspicious transactions and a rapid spike in his bank balances. Upon further investigation, officers uncovered a staggering KSh 50 million spread across several bank accounts under his name—an amount that sparked a wave of speculation and concern in his tight-knit community.
