Kesses Member of Parliament CPA Julius Ruto today officially commissioned two newly constructed classrooms at Lelmokwo Primary School, reinforcing his commitment to enhancing the learning environment for schoolchildren across the constituency.
The new facilities, funded through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF), are part of a broader infrastructure improvement initiative aimed at modernizing schools, reducing congestion in classrooms, and creating conducive spaces for academic excellence.
Addressing teachers, parents, and local leaders during the event, MP Ruto emphasized the critical role of education in shaping the future of young Kenyans and pledged continued support for development projects in the education sector.
“Education is the foundation of our future, and we remain committed to building and supporting it. These classrooms are not just buildings—they are spaces where dreams will be nurtured and potential unlocked,” said CPA Julius Ruto.
The MP noted that Lelmokwo Primary School had long grappled with overcrowded learning spaces, and the additional classrooms would go a long way in improving pupil-teacher ratios and learning outcomes. He further reiterated his commitment to ensuring that every child in Kesses has access to quality education in a safe and dignified environment.
Parents and school officials welcomed the project, describing it as a timely intervention that will help uplift academic standards in the area.
“This is a big relief for both pupils and teachers. The learning environment has greatly improved, and we are optimistic about better performance,” said the school’s headteacher, Mr. Peter Kiprop.
In addition to classroom construction, MP Ruto highlighted ongoing efforts to improve access to clean water, sanitation, and digital learning infrastructure in schools across the constituency.
The event concluded with a tree-planting session and a pledge by the local community to take ownership of the project and maintain the new facilities for the benefit of future generations.
The commissioning of the classrooms at Lelmokwo Primary is part of a wider development plan by CPA Julius Ruto to empower youth through education, skills training, and infrastructure development across Kesses Constituency.
