In a powerful and emotionally charged statement released today, celebrated comedian and activist Erick Omondi declared that Kenya is on the brink of a historic transformation. Comparing the nation's current struggles to the final pains of childbirth, Omondi insisted that “A NEW KENYA” is not only possible—it is inevitable.
“Hear me clearly,” Omondi began, his voice firm and prophetic. “There will be A NEW KENYA. Not because of Anything or Anyone but because ITS TIME!!!”
In recent months, Kenya has witnessed a wave of public protests, youth-led movements, and bold demands for justice, transparency, and national dignity. Omondi, who has increasingly taken on a vocal activist role, stated that the collective suffering and unrest are not signs of failure, but rather signs of rebirth.
“Everything that Kenya is going through can be likened to a Mother in Labour…The Pain that we are experiencing is a clear Sign of a NEW BIRTH, a NEW BEGINNING, a NEW KENYA.”
The entertainer-turned-activist did not mince words when referring to the entrenched forces he believes are holding the country back.
“Their time is Over,” he declared. “The Generation of CORRUPTION, TRIBALISM, GREED, ANARCHY, NEPOTISM, and BRUTALITY will be no more in a few.”
He concluded with a rallying cry that has quickly gone viral on social media:
#MalizeniMuende — Finish Your Term and Go.
The phrase has become a powerful slogan among disillusioned youth and reform-minded citizens calling for a clean break from Kenya’s past and a future led by integrity, equality, and justice.
Omondi’s message comes at a time when trust in public institutions is at an all-time low. With the 2027 general elections slowly approaching, the pressure is building, and the cry for transformation is growing louder.
“GOD WITH US,” Omondi concluded. “We will not be silenced. We will not be bought. We are the NEW KENYA. The time is NOW.”
