President William Ruto has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to strengthening public service delivery at the grassroots, as he officially opened the newly constructed Rangwe Sub-County Headquarters in Homa Bay County.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, President Ruto underscored the importance of bringing government services closer to the people and building institutional capacity across all levels of the National Government Administration.
“We are laying the foundation for a more responsive, effective, and people-centered government. These new Sub-County offices are not just buildings—they are the heartbeat of service delivery, especially for our citizens in rural and underserved areas,” President Ruto said.
The President was accompanied by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Governors, Members of Parliament, and Members of County Assemblies, in what was described as a strong demonstration of unity and shared vision for national development.
“Our presence here today, together with leaders from across the political divide, signifies a collective commitment to devolution and efficient governance,” he added.
President Ruto emphasized the need for a seamless interface between national and county governments to ensure that development reaches every corner of the country. He also commended the leadership and residents of Homa Bay for their cooperation in advancing local development initiatives.
The new Rangwe Sub-County Headquarters will serve as a hub for administrative coordination, security services, and public engagement, enabling residents to access government services more conveniently and efficiently.
“This is how we build a stronger nation—from the ground up,” the President concluded.
The visit to Rangwe is part of a broader government strategy to enhance administrative infrastructure and improve service delivery across all 47 counties.
