Governor Simon Kachapin hosted a delegation led by Ms. Carolyne Menach, HSC (Director, Perur Rays of Hope and County Child Protection Lead), and Ms. Lucky Litole (CEC, Culture, Youth, Gender, Sports & Social Services) to discuss child welfare initiatives in West Pokot.
Key among the discussions was the rollout of the Children’s Helpline 116—a toll-free line to report child abuse, seek emergency help, and access psychosocial support.
Governor Kachapin reaffirmed the County Government's commitment to child protection, announcing plans to deploy trained counselors across the county to support the initiative.

Together, we are working to build a safer, more supportive environment for every child in West Pokot.
