President William Ruto has joined the global Christian community in mourning the death of Pope Francis, calling it a profound loss to the Catholic faithful and the world at large.
In a heartfelt statement released on Monday, President Ruto praised the late pontiff’s legacy of humility, justice, and compassion, describing him as a “true servant leader” who dedicated his life to God, the Church, and humanity.
“Pope Francis will be remembered for a life devoted to serving the Lord, the Church, and all of humanity,” Ruto said. “He exemplified servant leadership through his humility, his unwavering commitment to inclusivity and justice, and his deep compassion for the poor and the vulnerable.”
