Moiben Member of Parliament, Prof. Phylis Bartoo, is urging residents of Moiben and surrounding areas to register with the Social Health Authority (SHA) to ensure they and their families are comprehensively covered with access to quality healthcare services.
In a public address, Prof. Bartoo emphasized the immense benefits of registering with the SHA, noting that it provides individuals and families with life-changing healthcare services that are both affordable and accessible. She highlighted the importance of securing healthcare coverage, especially for low-income families, who may otherwise struggle to afford essential medical treatments.
"By registering with the Social Health Authority, you ensure that you and your family are not only covered but can also access timely and quality healthcare services," Prof. Bartoo said. "This is an opportunity for all of us to prioritize our health and well-being, without the burden of financial constraints. We encourage all residents to register in large numbers to take advantage of these life-changing benefits."
The Social Health Authority, a government initiative, aims to provide comprehensive healthcare coverage to all Kenyans, offering access to medical services ranging from routine check-ups to specialized treatments. For many, the program offers a much-needed safety net in times of medical emergencies.
Prof. Bartoo further emphasized that the program’s wide reach ensures that even remote areas benefit from improved healthcare services, a crucial factor for the wellbeing of families in Moiben. She reassured the public that registration is easy and encouraged people to visit local registration centers or use online platforms to sign up.
“Ensuring that every resident has access to healthcare is a priority. I urge every one of you, from the elderly to the young, to take advantage of this opportunity. Your health is your wealth,” she concluded.
The call to register with the SHA comes as part of a broader initiative by the government to ensure that no Kenyan is left behind when it comes to accessing quality healthcare. With Prof. Bartoo’s support, the hope is that Moiben residents will seize this opportunity and benefit from the comprehensive coverage available to them.
