Lumakanda OCS Arrested Over Alleged Defilement of 16-Year-Old Girl

 

Lumakanda Police Station OCS Chief Inspector Wycliffe Kwendo has been arrested and is being held at Kakamega Police Station as detectives investigate allegations involving a 16-year-old girl.

According to police records cited by local media, the girl’s parents allegedly returned home after being advised to leave their house over a purported multi-agency security operation and reportedly found the officer inside with their daughter.

The family further alleges that the officer threatened the girl’s mother with a firearm after she reportedly picked up condoms found in the house. They also claim he left KSh20,000 at the scene in an alleged attempt to prevent the matter from being reported.

The minor was taken to Lumakanda Sub-County Hospital for medical attention and forensic examination, while DCI officers visited the scene.

Western Region DCI boss Douglas Chikanda confirmed the officer’s arrest, saying investigations into the allegations are ongoing. The allegations have not been tested in court, and Kwendo remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
