Turbo Member of Parliament Hon. Janet Sitienei Rotich, CBS, MP, has commissioned a modern eight-classroom storey building at Eldoret Union Primary School in Kiplombe Ward, marking a major boost to education infrastructure in the area.
The multi-storey facility has been fully funded through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) Turbo Constituency as part of ongoing efforts to improve learning infrastructure in public schools.
The new classrooms are expected to ease pressure on the existing facilities at Eldoret Union Primary School and provide pupils and teachers with a more spacious and conducive environment for learning.
The project reflects the importance of investing in school infrastructure as the number of learners continues to grow, creating demand for additional classrooms and other facilities that support effective teaching and learning.
During the commissioning, the development was presented as part of the broader commitment to ensuring that children in Turbo Constituency have access to decent and modern learning facilities.
The eight-classroom block adds to education infrastructure projects being implemented through NG-CDF, which remains an important avenue for financing community-based development projects, particularly in schools.
For parents and residents of Kiplombe Ward, the completion of the facility is expected to bring relief by improving the physical learning environment at the institution.
Modern and adequate classrooms are critical in supporting effective learning, reducing congestion and creating an environment where both learners and teachers can undertake their activities comfortably.
The investment also demonstrates how constituency development funds can be channelled towards projects with a direct impact on local communities, particularly in the education sector.
Hon. Janet Sitienei has continued to place education among the key areas of focus in her constituency development agenda, with investments in learning institutions aimed at improving facilities available to pupils.
The commissioning of the Eldoret Union Primary School classrooms therefore represents another milestone in the constituency's efforts to strengthen education infrastructure and support the next generation.
The new facility is expected to serve pupils for years to come while contributing to the school's capacity to provide quality education in Kiplombe Ward.
The project has further renewed attention on the need for continued investment in schools as communities seek better facilities for their children.
The commissioning was attended by school stakeholders, local leaders, parents and members of the community who witnessed the handover of the new facility.
With the eight classrooms now available for use, the school is expected to benefit from improved learning space and better organisation of its academic activities.
The development comes under the banner #JRDELIVERS, highlighting the MP's emphasis on delivering tangible development projects to residents of Turbo Constituency.
