Soy MP Kiplagat Commissions New School Projects, Boosts Support for Needy Learners

Soy MP David Kiplagat has commissioned a series of development projects at St. Peters Kamukuji Primary School aimed at improving the learning environment and supporting better education outcomes for pupils.

The projects include the renovation of 19 classrooms and the school administration block, construction of a chain-link fence and gate, as well as paving of the school assembly area.

Kiplagat said the investments were part of efforts to improve learning infrastructure and create a safer and more conducive environment for pupils and teachers.

During the event, the MP also presented KSh297,800 to support needy students at Kamukuji Secondary School, providing financial assistance to learners facing challenges in meeting their education needs.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by the area MCA and other local leaders, who joined the MP in highlighting the importance of investing in education at the grassroots.

Kiplagat said improved school infrastructure and targeted support for vulnerable learners would help keep students in school and give them a better opportunity to achieve their academic goals.

The projects and education support form part of ongoing efforts under the Soy NG-CDF to address infrastructure needs in schools while assisting learners from disadvantaged backgrounds.

“Better schools. Empowered learners. A brighter future,” Kiplagat said, underscoring his focus on education as a key driver of development in Soy Constituency.
