KWS–GSU: DIFFERENT UNIFORMS, SHARED DUTY

From the parade ground to the field, service is built on discipline, teamwork and a shared commitment to protect Kenya. Today, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) joined the General Service Unit (GSU) in celebrating a new generation of officers stepping forward to serve the nation.

KWS Director General Prof. Erustus Kanga joined national leaders, fellow Service Commanders, officers, families and friends at the 50th GSU Pass-Out Parade, celebrating more than 900 graduating recruits at the National Police College, Embakasi B Campus, Nairobi. The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, C.G.H., President and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces of Kenya.

KWS and GSU share a strong foundation in paramilitary training, discipline and service. This connection continues to strengthen collaboration as KWS works with GSU and other security agencies to protect wildlife, secure protected areas and safeguard communities under the Wildlife Conservation and Management Act, 2013.
