Kindiki Woos Samburu to UDA, Says No Region Will Be Left Behind in Kenya's Development

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has reaffirmed the government's commitment to equitable development across the country, saying no region will be left behind as the Kenya Kwanza administration accelerates the implementation of its development agenda.

Speaking in Maralal, Samburu County, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, during a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) recruitment drive, Kindiki said the transformation of Kenya depends on ensuring that development reaches every part of the country while bringing all socio-economic groups into a shared national vision.

The Deputy President said the government remains focused on fulfilling the promises contained in the UDA and Kenya Kwanza coalition manifesto, noting that significant progress has already been made.

He highlighted ongoing investments in roads, electricity connectivity, modern markets, education, healthcare, enterprise development, and other key infrastructure projects aimed at improving livelihoods across the country.

Kindiki emphasized that counties previously considered marginalized are now receiving increased government attention, adding that Samburu County is among the beneficiaries of the national development agenda.

He said the administration is determined to ensure equitable distribution of resources and opportunities so that every Kenyan can benefit from economic growth regardless of where they live.

During the event, the Deputy President welcomed new members who joined the United Democratic Alliance, describing the growing support for the ruling party as a sign of confidence in the government's development agenda.

"Karibuni sana kwa chama cha UDA wenzangu," Kindiki told the new members, urging them to support the party's vision of inclusive growth and national unity.

His remarks come as the ruling party continues to strengthen its grassroots support ahead of the 2027 General Election while showcasing ongoing development projects across different regions of the country.
