Mwea MP Mary Maingi Continues to Champion Sports and Women's Empowerment

Mwea Member of Parliament  Hon. Mary Maingi  has once again demonstrated her unwavering commitment to nurturing sporting talent and empowering young people through the successful  Season 4 of the Hon. Mary Maingi Football Tournament, which continues to inspire communities across the constituency.

The latest round of women's fixtures at Kiarukungu Primary School Playground delivered thrilling football, with teams showcasing exceptional skill, determination, teamwork, and competitive spirit before an enthusiastic crowd of supporters.

The day's results saw  Kangai Women defeat Mutithi Women  4-2,  Wamumu Women  overcome  Thiba Women  4-1,  Nyangati Women cruise to a commanding 5-0 victory over Murinduko Women, while Tebere Women secured a convincing 3-0 win against Gathigiriri Women.

Hon. Mary Maingi has earned widespread admiration for using sports as a powerful tool to unite communities, identify talent, promote healthy lifestyles, and create opportunities for young people—especially women and girls—to excel both on and off the field.
