The political conclave's ending, Explained: Who Becomes the New Linda Mwananchi Presidential Flagbearer ???

The Vision news explicitly explains the  details of a presser after  a strategy meeting held at the home of Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya where Luhya leaders , professionals and political strategists allied to Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya and those from the Linda Mwananchi group announced a political roadmap for Western Kenya ahead of next year’s General Election.

As part of that roadmap, Trans Nzoia County boss said that a mother of all rallies will be held in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County on the 25th of this Month followed by another earth shaking one in Bungoma on the following day where Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna will receive blessings from Luhya elders who will release him to officially make national engagements.

This announcement isn’t a fictional 72 hours at the Vatican where cardinals from around the World converge to elect a new Pope upon an unfortunate demise of the office holder but it is  a moment for the unveiling of a new political vehicle to carry the movement’s vision.

The promise of governor Natembeya that a white smoke will emerge has set in contemporary times, with the TAWE Strongman peeling back the curtain on the protocols of the Western Kenya political status quo he has been accusing of being complicit as residents get forced to live in untold fear of people eating on behalf of the most populous community.

Natembeya said  that his meeting with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Senator Godfrey Osotsi, and MP Majimbo Kalasinga centered on regional and national unity.

He outlined plans to mobilize the Luhya nation to vote as a block and announced upcoming major rallies including one in Kitale and a gathering in Bungoma where elders will bless Sifuna for national campaigns.

"Today, I hosted my brothers, Nairobi Senator Hon. Edwin Sifuna , Vihiga Senator Hon. Godfrey Osotsi, Kabuchai MP Hon. Majimbo Kalasinga, and Bumula MP Hon. Jack Wamboka. We have agreed to have  the mother of all rallies  in Bungoma County on 26th July, where Edwin Sifuna will be crowned the Luhya, a day after having one here in Kitale on 25th", he said.

The rising again of the Luhya Nation,  as well as the very human power machinations by National Assembly Speaker Moses wetang’ula and Prime cabinet Secretary Wycliffe musalia Mudavadi on one side against Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Vihiga Senator Godfrey otsotsi, Kakamega Senator Dr. Bonnie Khalwale, DCP Deputy party leader Cleo Malala , Bumula legislator Wanami Wamboka and his kabuchai Counterpart Majimbo Kalasinga on the other side  jockeying to lead the Populous Mulembe Nation.

All that was vividly  witnessed through the eyes of the great people of western Kenya during a series of rallies in the populous rich voting block with the latest announcement made by Vihiga senator Godfrey otsotsi  tasking Natembeya to coordinate and oversee the execution of the mandate to be the point man of the opposition in the region.

The fiery Senator of Vihiga Vihiga Senator used the occasion to  accuse President William Ruto of using financial inducements to divide the Western Kenya region, alleging that the President  is funding local politicians to spread propaganda that Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna is too young and financially incapable of mounting a credible presidential campaign.

According to Senator Osotsi, Ruto is utilizing "ill-gotten" cash and empowerment funds to buy the loyalty of Western Kenya leaders. The goal of this strategy is to undermine Sifuna's growing national political profile by painting him as a novice without the necessary financial backing to sustain a presidential run.

Bungoma gubernatorial hopeful Zekaria Wa Barasa  strongly condemned the narrative and urged  the Mulembe nation to unite and support younger, progressive leaders rather than relying on politicians aligned with the government's cash handouts.

The accusations come amidst intense political maneuvering ahead of the 2027 elections, with both the government and opposition factions fighting for control of the vote-rich Western bloc.

Bumula MP Wanami Wamboka described Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya as a solid man whom the Alternative opposition and the linda mwananchi had picked as their point man in the whole of western kenya, positioning him at the center of efforts to consolidate support in the rich vote region that is critical .

The endorsement of Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and the Linda Mwananchi movement represents a broader political realignment aimed at challenging President William Ruto for 2027. It signals the formation of a united opposition front, bridging ethnic and regional divides between Western Kenya and Mt. K

Mr. Wamboka said ‘’By backing Natembeya, Gachagua and the Linda Mwananchi movement led by Nairobi  Senator Edwin Sifuna are actively consolidating regional voting blocs to create a formidable national coalition. This alliance represents an attempt to counter efforts to split the Western Kenyan vote and to pool resources, effectively forcing a structural rethink in succession

Kabuchai MP Machimbo Kalasinga noted that the optics of the choice of Natembeya as the western kenya pointman   signals a desire for a generational change in leadership, moving away from traditional, ethnically bound arithmetic of western Kenya which has been a reserve for old guards who must be shown the door for ‘’ letting democracy escape through the windows.

He said Natembeya had gained  the backing of Linda Mwananchi which thrives on anti-graft rhetoric and economic accountability to mobilize Western Kenya whose population resonates with the rest of the Country faced with  frustration as the rising voice of youths demand accountability in the leadership that has been silencing dissent.

Senator  Sifuna emphasized that in his extensive tours across the country, he has observed a united and overwhelming desire for political and systemic change among Kenyans. The meeting, which focused on national politics and regional unity, served as a strategic session ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

He said  the region had become fragmented into political fiefdoms, with some leaders trading communal interests for personal survival.

Sifuna said ‘’ Governor GeorgeNatembeya hosted us in Kitale today and all I can say is there is light at the end  of the tunnel . The White smoke is beginning to billow from Western Kenya, all we are asking from the people of kenya is Prayers na Sitawaangusha’’.

Busia County Assembly Speaker Frederick Wafula Odilo who is gunning for the gubernatorial seat was present alongside Trans Nzoia County Assembly Clerk Moses Wanjala Lupao, Deputy Speaker Obed Mwale Mahanga and a host of ward representatives.
