The Government of Kenya through the State Department for Diaspora Affairs (SDDA) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa- AHK Eastern Africa, marking a significant milestone in advancing talent mobility, skills development, and diaspora engagement between Kenya and Germany.
The MoU was signed by Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary, Ms. Roseline K Njogu and Ms. Dagmar von Bohnstein, Delegate of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa at an event held in Nairobi.
The partnership underscores a mutual commitment to strengthening structured labour mobility pathways, enhancing skills recognition, and deepening economic cooperation between the two countries.
Present at the event were Ms. Irene Karari, Director in Charge of the Skills and Expertise Division; Mr. Glenns Etyang, Director-Office of the Principal Secretary; Ms. Anne Mruche, Deputy Director; Ms. Ayan Abdi, Foreign Service Officer; Ms. Nikki Matika, Foreign Service Officer; Mr. Abdilbasid Hassan, FSO; and Mr. Cedric Njaga.
