The family of 19-year-old KMTC student Eugene Mutuku is demanding justice following his death after he was allegedly pushed from a moving matatu along Thika Road.

Mutuku succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital, leaving his family devastated and searching for answers.

According to relatives, the young student was allegedly pushed out of the matatu during a disagreement. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where doctors fought to save his life. However, he later died from the injuries he sustained.

Family members described Mutuku as a hardworking and ambitious young man whose promising future was tragically cut short.

"We have lost a son who had great dreams and a bright future ahead of him. We want those responsible for his death to be arrested and brought to justice," said a family member.

The grieving family is now urging police to expedite investigations and ensure all those involved are held accountable.

Police have launched a manhunt for the driver and conductor linked to the matatu involved in the incident. The two remain at large as investigations continue.

The vehicle was later found abandoned in Nairobi's Kariokor area and has since been impounded by police for forensic examination and further investigations.

Detectives are expected to question witnesses and review available evidence to establish the circumstances that led to the incident.

The tragedy has sparked renewed concerns among Kenyans over passenger safety in the public transport sector.

"Nothing will bring Eugene back, but we want the truth to come out. Those responsible must face the law," another family member said.

Police have appealed to members of the public with information about the incident to come forward. No arrests have been made so far.
