What began as an ordinary day of work turned into a life-altering tragedy for 48-year-old Timothy Saina from Megun Village in Kapseret Constituency when a grass-cutting machine accident left him with severe injuries that resulted in the loss of his left hand.

For years, Saina had earned a living as a cattle herder, relying on the physically demanding job to provide food, pay school fees, and meet the daily needs of his family. However, the accident abruptly ended his ability to continue working in the profession he had depended on for much of his adult life.

"I gave him a posho mill because he can no longer do manual labour. The machine will help him generate income, pay school fees for his children, and provide for his family. It won't replace the hand he lost, but it will give him a way to earn a living without depending on others," he said.

Sudi emphasized the need for leaders to support vulnerable members of society, particularly those whose lives have been disrupted by accidents, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances.
