Kingara Boosts Education with KSh 1.4 Million Bursary for Githunguri High School Students
Residents of Ruiru are once again witnessing a strong push for education empowerment after Simon Kingara presented a bursary cheque worth KSh 1.472 million to Githunguri High School.
The bursary, issued through the Ruiru NG-CDF, is aimed at supporting needy students and easing the burden on parents struggling with school fees amid tough economic times.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony in Biashara Ward, leaders and residents lauded Hon. Kingara for prioritizing education and ensuring vulnerable students are not denied access to learning opportunities.
The MP reiterated that education remains one of the key pillars of development in Ruiru, noting that empowering young people through schooling is an investment in the constituency’s future.
Officials from the NG-CDF office revealed that the bursary programme is also targeting students in boarding schools, colleges, and universities across the country to ensure deserving learners continue with their studies uninterrupted.
Parents and residents welcomed the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that will help many families keep their children in school.
Hon. Kingara, popularly known by supporters as “Mtendakazi,” has continued to earn praise for what residents describe as practical leadership focused on development and service delivery.
