Kenyan Senator Announces Death of Mother, Mama Teresia Nyaboke Omoke
A Kenyan senator has announced the death of his mother, Mama Teresia Nyaboke Omoke, who passed away at the age of 81 while receiving treatment in Nairobi.
In a press statement released on Wednesday, Senator Richard Momoima Onyonka of Kisii County said his mother died earlier in the day at Aga Khan Hospital. He described her as a devoted parent and a central figure in the family whose life was defined by faith, humility, and service to others.
According to the statement, Mama Nyaboke Omoke was born on December 25, 1944. The senator said she lived a full life grounded in compassion and dedication to her family and community, touching many lives through her kindness and guidance.
“Her passing is a profound loss not only to our family but also to all those whose lives she touched,” the statement read. “She was the heart of our home, and her legacy will continue to inspire us in the days ahead.”
The family expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and condolences they have received and requested continued prayers as they come to terms with the loss.
