Samoei Rallies Officers on People-Centred Service Delivery in Turbo

The County Chief Officer for Devolution, Administration and Public Service Management, Ruth Samoei, has reaffirmed the county government’s commitment to efficient, people-centred service delivery during a field engagement with officers at the Turbo Subcounty Office.

Addressing staff, Samoei stressed the importance of teamwork in achieving development goals, noting that collective effort is key to delivering the vision of Governor Jonathan Bii under the Nguzo Kumi development agenda. She urged officers to embrace collaboration and professionalism in their daily duties.

The Chief Officer emphasized the need to fully devolve services to the grassroots, ensuring that wananchi can access government services easily and efficiently. She also called on officers to maintain clean, organized, and functional workspaces as a reflection of their commitment to public service.

During her visit, Samoei inspected several ongoing development projects in Kamagut Ward. At the Cheramei Coffee Milling Plant, she noted that construction is 95 percent complete, with the facility expected to be operational by the end of next month. Once launched, the plant will process up to 40,000 tonnes of coffee and create employment for more than 300 residents.

She also toured the Sambut Water Project, which has a capacity of 50,000 litres and is set to benefit over 500 households, including Cheramei Primary School, once distribution begins.

At Cheramei Health Centre, Samoei commended the facility for transitioning to digital operations, highlighting improved efficiency in service delivery. She also praised the fully equipped maternity wing, which is expected to enhance maternal and child healthcare in the area.

Her inspection concluded at the Kiptang Water Project, where solar panels are being installed to supply water to about 70 households. She underscored the importance of sustainable solutions in expanding access to essential services.

Samoei reiterated the county government’s commitment to ensuring timely completion of all ongoing projects, noting that they are designed to deliver tangible benefits and improve livelihoods across the community.

Among those present were Turbo Subcounty Administrator Obadia Lelei, Kamagut Ward Administrator Emmanuel Melly, and Tapsagoi Ward Administrator Vincent Sambai.
