March is Brain Tumor Awareness Month – Dr. Catherine Nyongesa Urges Early Action

Renowned oncologist and CEO of the Texas Cancer Centre, Dr. Catherine Nyongesa, is joining the global call to action for Brain Tumor Awareness Month this March.

“Your brain controls everything,” says Dr. Nyongesa. “When something feels off, it’s important to pay attention. Persistent headaches, seizures, vision changes, memory or speech difficulties, and balance problems should never be ignored. Early medical evaluation can make a life-saving difference.”

This month, Dr. Nyongesa stands with patients, survivors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals committed to improving awareness, promoting early diagnosis, and increasing access to care for those affected by brain tumors.

She emphasizes the importance of knowing the signs, acting early by seeking medical attention promptly, and supporting awareness initiatives to educate communities and reduce stigma. Through vigilance, timely action, and public education, lives can be saved, and patients can receive the care they need when it matters most.
