Murang’a County Assembly Speaker Meets PS Elijah Mwangi to Strengthen Sports Development Agenda

The Speaker of the Murang’a County Assembly held a consultative meeting with Elijah Mwangi, Principal Secretary for Sports, to deliberate on the future of sports development in Murang’a County.

During the meeting, the two leaders explored strategic ways of aligning county sports plans with national priorities to ensure that sports development remains a central pillar within the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP).

The discussions focused on strengthening policy support, enhancing infrastructure, and unlocking opportunities that nurture young talent across the county.

The Speaker reaffirmed that the Murang’a County Assembly remains committed to championing progressive policies and adequate resource allocation aimed at promoting sports as a tool for youth empowerment, social development, and economic growth.

He noted that investing in sports is not only about nurturing talent but also about building discipline, unity, and a strong foundation for the next generation of champions in Murang’a County.
