Mathioya Affordable Housing Project Launched in KSh 1 Billion Boost

Residents of Mathioya are set to benefit from a major development milestone following the official handover of the Mathioya Affordable Housing project site to the contractor, marking the commencement of construction works.

The KSh 1 billion project will deliver modern and dignified housing units, including bedsitters, one-bedroom apartments, and family houses. The development will also feature essential amenities such as roads, water, electricity, drainage systems, enhanced security, and designated spaces for schools, healthcare facilities, and commercial activities.

Beyond expanding access to affordable housing, the project is expected to create employment opportunities for local youth and skilled workers during the construction phase, while stimulating economic activity within the constituency.

The ceremony was graced by Hon. Gabriel Kagombe (MP, Gatundu South), Hon. Sabina Chege (Nominated MP), and MCAs Hannah Wairimu, Gladys Wambui, and Jane Mukami, underscoring a united commitment to transformative development.

Housing Principal Secretary Charles Hinga was lauded for his continued leadership and delivery in advancing the government’s affordable housing agenda.
