KEPROBA Holds Media Training Ahead of Exporters Roundtable in Eldoret

The Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) today conducted a media training and engagement session in Eldoret aimed at strengthening collaboration with journalists ahead of the upcoming Exporters Roundtable.

The session, held at Boma Inn Eldoret, brought together journalists from various media houses across Uasin Gishu County. Participants engaged in presentations and discussions on nation branding, Kenya’s export and brand performance, and the critical role of the media in promoting the country’s image and export agenda.

KEPROBA Chief Executive Officer Floice Mukabana underscored the media’s influence in shaping Kenya’s global image and supporting export growth. In a statement delivered on her behalf by Maureen Mambo, Director of Nation Brand Development, Marketing and Communication, Ms. Mukabana emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships with the press.

“The media plays a critical role in telling Kenya’s story to local and international audiences. By equipping journalists with deeper insights into nation branding and export promotion, we are building partnerships that will position Kenya’s products and services more competitively,” she said.

She reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to enhancing brand visibility, supporting product development, and ensuring favorable positioning of Kenyan products in both regional and international markets.

“KEPROBA remains committed to enhancing brand visibility, supporting product development, and ensuring positive placement of Kenyan products in various markets. Media engagements are essential in amplifying these messages to stakeholders, exporters, and importers,” she added.

The initiative forms part of KEPROBA’s broader strategy to raise awareness of Kenya’s export potential and strengthen the country’s brand regionally and globally.

The media engagement precedes the Exporters Roundtable scheduled for February 18, 2026, in Uasin Gishu County. The forum will serve as a platform for dialogue and collaboration within the export sector, bringing together exporters, industry stakeholders, and government representatives.

Discussions will focus on identifying barriers to trade, proposing targeted interventions to increase export volumes, enhancing market access, and establishing sustained communication channels between businesses and government agencies to improve competitiveness in the global marketplace.
